Error--no extract uploader

Hi, ((Downloaded it from Elementary OS Appcenter)), im not too used to report bugs /or/ errors, so I thought I'd start with your app. I get the following error when trying to downloading a Youtube-clip:

ERROR: Unable to extract uploader id; please report this issue on https://yt-dl.org/bug . Make sure you are using the latest version; type youtube-dl -U to update. Be sure to call youtube-dl with the --verbose flag and include its complete output.

Hi, thank you for letting me know! I will have to re-install Elementary OS as I don't use it anymore...

Sorry! I thought you already were using eOS. You think if you tweak the error and fix so the app is working again, would it in theory be able to download clips (or..) movies from other sites than Youtube? like Dailymotion?

No problem! If you're comfortable using the command line, this app just uses youtube-dl under the hood: https://github.com/ytdl-org/youtube-dl

After you install it, you can use it like this:

youtube-dl "https://youtube.com/etc"
