This repo is not maintained anymore, so I've created a repo called fa2_modified which contains the maintained version of fa2. Using this repo, you can install fa2 on any python version using this command:

pip install -U fa2_modified

I can confirm it works with Python 3.11 using quay.io/jupyter/base-notebook:python-3.11 as my Docker base image. Thank you a lot for this.
