Footer disappearing, white stripe instead

I suspect there has been a change in Streamlit rendering, as the footer sometimes does not show, and instead, a white bar appears below the last element on the page. It is not consistent, but occurs often; will need to troubleshoot. Does not interfere with functionality, so seems to be a cosmetic issue.
