Mail on error #1053
Comments
@kocjs There is a new forming maintaining team and we do review all issues. Is this problem still relevant for you or did you find a solution? Tag: Feature/Bug, Medium/High, Documentation, user-callback |
Related bug report on Debian: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=985260 |
Related to #827 (which is the master issue for correct error handling in user-callback scripts IMHO). See also: https://mail.python.org/archives/list/bit-dev@python.org/message/KJIYOVEVFH52PKPUDVHY7LZ2VKOX3SNK/ Edit: Perhaps this issue is different (here: error triggered from outside of the user-callback script - there: error thrown in the user-callback script) |
I may have fixed this problem now via PR #1502 but to be sure I need to understand exactly where the error happens:
|
Using the user callback to get mails on error works well. However, I noticed, that in the case of denied permissions and wrong file encoding no error mail gets send. Although a desktop notification arrives.
How can i set up backintime to get mails on these errors too?
Debian Buster
