Hi, sorry for the data loss. If your entries are still on the device you can use the app "iCal Import Export". It saves all events into an ics file, which then can be imported to a working DAVx5 account and DAVx5 will sync the entries up to the server after the next sync is run. We're having a data migration tool in mind for future versions to simplify this process, but it is still in the planning phase. |

Dear everyone,
I recently suffered from a hardware failure on my server. So, its calendar is from a backup that is some weeks old. When I synced with DAVx5, it deleted all entries that (a) were not present on the server and (b) were added from a different CalDAV client -- the DAVx5 created/modified entries were synced to the server as far as I can tell.
Since my family uses the same server (also suffering from the data loss), I was curious whether there is somewhere an option (or an easy modification to DAVx5) to push all local entries to the server? That'd be wonderful :D (Another option would be to be able to export an ics file from calendar(s) in DAVx5, and then I can use other tooling to push these to the server.)
Any ideas / guides / comments about that? Also, if you know of related discussions / issues / guides, please let me know. My search skills weren't very successful finding anything on that topic.
Thanks a lot for your work on DAVx5, and also thanks for reading this post.
Best!
