What steps will reproduce the bug?

A bug that makes thanos very unreliable has just been fixed. The fixed bug is thanos-io/thanos#5501, the fix version is 0.28.0

Please update asap as this is a P0 bugfix.

Latest bitnami thanos chart does not include upstream thanos version containing this fix.
