Text expand "See more" does not clear when text is removed/shortened

Expected behavior

When I set the object passed into the "text" parameter to undefined I would expect there not to be a "See more" button

Actual behavior

If the "text" parameter is set and then set to undefined the "See more" button does not clear

Steps to reproduce

1. Create a text expand that is long enough for the "See more" button to show up
2. Set the object passed into the "text" parameter to undefined
3. Observe
