###The Tools
For any of these, you may create accounts or manage installs specifically for this course
- A Github account
- StackEdit on desktop / SimpleNote on mobile - This is where you will write
- Slack - This is where you share, play, maybe work
- Select social media accounts, as needed
###The Work
- Participation - 40%
- Black Code Studies Lab Logs (20%)
- Final Project + Modules x 4 (40%)
###Participation
The bulk of your grade is participation. Regular, active participation in all class activities, whether in seminar, outside of class, or online is required. Participation is assessed daily. Students are expected to arrive on time having read all assigned material before seminar and prepared for an active and informed discussion. Quizzes and other assignments may be given and will count as part of your participation grade.
Silent students and late arrivals receive half credit for that day. Students who don't attend class cannot participate and fail the day.
TEAMS: At the beginning of the semester, students will be divided into teams. Much of your work will occur in these teams--it is each team and each team member's responsibility to exchange information on the first day, remain in contact, navigate disputes, and divide the workload. Slack has been provided as a workspace for this purpose.
