Set -tag:v hvc1 in exported HEVC files #15129
Comments
we will need to add an output arg or two to cover this case most likely |
Is there any workaround for now? |
Using manual args for the output args |
Could you please post an example that will replicate preset-record-generic but with manual args? I tried to do it (extracted arguments from source code) but no luck - ffmpeg crashes. |
I also have that same issue using a Dahua camera. I did not have any output_args parameter set and until some time that seemed to function fine. Now it shows indeed that seem issue. I already tried adding the suggested camera options (it does to be responding different but not loading eventually) but that does not seem to fix the issue. Also using the ffmpeg path to 5.0 does not seem to fix it. Is there anything I can easy try here? |
I want to add a
-tag:v hvc1
tag for exported files. I have a Chinese IP camera which is working fine, but the exported mp4 files cannot be opened by QuickTime on macOS, but can be with VLC on macOS.I googled for a bit and found that you have to set the tag
hvc1
in the file so it can be opened by QuickTime. How can this be done?
I see in the documentation that you can choose an output_args preset i.e.
preset-record-generic
, but I am not sure how to add this one argument-tag:v hvc1
to it, or is it even possible? The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
