Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Currently it's impossible to tell how many times the post has been viewed. This issue has already been discussed and rejected in #1883 but I don't think it received adequate attention.
Describe the solution you'd like
Add numbers of views next to numbers of likes and reposts. Number of views can be private, visible only to the user on their own posts. If it's difficult to implement view count because it's an "open network" (as was mentioned in closed issue #1883) would it make it easier if only views by logged in users was counted?
This issue is important because
a) people measure success based on view count (this happens on X all the time, where viewcount is available. For example , one of the main topics of discussion about Jordan Petterson's interview of the future Canadian PM Pierre Polievre was that it was viewed 25 million times). Bluesky's growth will improve if view count is added.
b) view count helps users understand engagement on their posts (if I only get 2 likes on a post, it means something very different if 10 people viewed the post versus 10,000)
c) Users are following a massive number of accounts (thanks to starter packs) in the hopes of getting more followbacks and more views and, from that, more engagement. Users can't measure if this strategy is working without knowing how many views a post is getting.

Personally, I don't think it makes sense to collect this metric. Since everything stored on AT Protocol is public data, you can't really hide view counts unless you store it off protocol.
