The title says it all:
I just updated my work computer to Windows 11 and now Gnu on Windows does not work (I am back to the old Windows terminal).
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no success.

What specifically doesn't work?

I am running windows 10. Bash won't start because the /etc directory is missing. If you create it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Gow\etc then bash works.

I have no idea what I did last time, but I have just downloaded and installed gow 0.8 and everything is fine. I am assuming that Microsoft must have fixed something because all is lovely now.
Apologies for making such an unhelpful comment last time.

No worries. I'm glad it's working.

Running bash didn't work, unless I created the etc folder, as suggested here. Thank you!

The lack of the etc folder has been around for a long time. Why hasn't it be fixed so the install creates it?
