  The "README.int" files in this directory tree contain notes
  regarding DDS internals.

$DDSROOT is the root of the DDS installation directory.

Source code is found in:
  /src/lib  archive libraries
    dds3    DDS, compiled with optimization
    dds3g   DDS, compiled with -g (debug symbol tables)
    host    Host specific functions.
              Also contains source for Makefile components.
    gio     Low level I/O routines, similar to C std I/O.
    fft     generic wrapper for FFT (uses fftw by default)
    fftw    Fastest Fourier Transform in the West (fftw, rfftw)
    ...
  /src/cmd  executable commands
    ...     One subdirectory 

DDS files that are distributed for developers are installed into:
  /lib      archive libraries
  /include  C include files
              Fortran includes are kept in archtecture specific subdirs.
              The files can contain pure Fortran, because preprocessor
              specific code for architectures is already factored out.
  /etc      Makefile components
  /bin      utility commands
