Can I use a url from a cdn to as path for the font? I am doing the pdf generation on server-side and I don't want to add a directory in server specifically for the fonts.

By cdn is available default Roboto font on client-side. Example URL: https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/pdfmake/0.1.27/vfs_fonts.js

On server-side you can use real font file.
