*.md blog feature doesn't work in subfolder #898
Comments
Can you provide a bit more info? Its hard to tell whats up from this description. |
Sure. I'll try to give you some more information: Version: newest docker images (compose) I want to provide journey-photos seperated in folders, for example "2023-08 Baltikum". I've copied
The "Blog" function doesn't work if the images are in the folder as described. If I move the content of the folder into the root folder (/...../pigallery2/images/) the blog function is working as expected. Can you give me a hint? Or can you recreate the problem? Best greetings, Karsten |
Thank you all the effort on this amazing project. I've ran onto the same issue while trying things and I've noticed that this was only happening when I was running this in docker locally and accessing via localhost. When I deployed this to a server (behind an nginx) everything was functioning normally. I've also noticed that Sorting/Filtering options where more rich on the server. Thought of sharing this in case it helps. |
@KarstenHahn Can you explain to me what behavior is expected and what you see? @kongeor I assume, when you deployed to the server, the install pulled a newer version. |
Hi, As you can see, in the root, the behavior is perfect. One test image from 2022 and after that some pictures with *.md-text. I've started the docker container in cli-mode, no errors appears I would be very grateful if you would take a look at this. Regardless of this small problem, this is the ideal gallery for me. Thank you very much for that! |
Hi Patrik, I just looked at the test-system: the entries of the index.md files appears in the sub-directory too :-) But: if I edit the *.md file, in dir of in the sub-dir, the changes were not visible after reload the page (or after logout->login). The "reset gallery" function, which (in my interpretion) cleans the database and rebuild all, does not result in showing the changed entries... Form my point of view, there is an error in the scanning/caching mechanism of *.md files .... Please, can you give me a hint how to re-read the entries? Thanks a lot, |
Hi That indeed seems to be an issue. My guess the issue is related to time zones or day boundary or somiliar. |
Hello,
just tried the app. Thanks a lot for this great application!
I tried to edit a *.md description for my journeys. Each journey in a seperate folder with its own *.md file. The inline blog function depending of a date does not work correct.
Is it an error?
Best greetings, Karsten
