@gorgoglionemeister it could be this issue that we saw late last sprint adobe/brackets#6067 where are file filtering for JavaScript files wasn't working quite right. Does the crash happen on other folders or just a certain one?

Reviewed. Medium@jasonsanjose to continue following up until we know whether this is a dupe of #6067 or not.

@jasonsanjose This issue happens on sprint 33 and 32 too. I mainly work on PHP files and I'm not able to tell if it happens on different folders. The OS crashes several minutes after Brackets starts.

I've wrongly closed the issue, sorry.

@gorgoglionemeister Can you test if it happens in other folders? Try making a new blank folder and copying just one of your commonly-edited PHP files into it -- just that one file, nothing else. If you open just that one folder in Brackets (File > Open Folder, that is) and edit the PHP file for a few minutes, does it still crash?

Also, can you clarify what you mean by "I have to restart the OS"? Do you mean you can't get Brackets to re-launch until you restart the computer? Or does the OS itself actually crash such that you can't use any other apps on the machine? If so, what's the OS crash message that appears?

@peterflynn I've an interesting news! Yesterday I've used Brackets with the "Lint Files on Save" setting unchecked and it has worked fine.

With "I have to restart the OS" I mean I can't use any other apps and I've to shutdown the PC. There's no crash message, the screen freezes.
