This is on my Windows 7 machine.

  1. Launch the dark shell build
  2. Watch the title bar during startup
  3. After startup, click back and forth between a few files

Result: Every time the title changes, you can see the title bar flicker back to the original Windows appearance, then to our version.

This is UTR on my Windows 7 machine.

I wonder why NJ and I are seeing such a disjoint set of bugs. @njx Is your VM using "Aero Glass," or the downlevel window chrome style? Could that be the diff?

I'm not running in a VM--just stock Windows on a dedicated machine. It could be because my machine is old and kind of slow.

It doesn't happen every time on my Win7 machine, but I sometimes do see a quick flash on every 5th or 6th doc change.

Yeah, I would say that I see it most times but not every single time. So it's probably a machine speed thing.

That said, it looks pretty ugly even if it only happens once in awhile, so it's worth figuring out how we could avoid it.

So I put up a fix for this --@njx can you check it out with the 1108 build and let me know if you still see it? It's hard for me to reproduce but I was seeing it every now and then. I spent about 10 minutes testing my change and haven't seen it since so I put up a new build.

Yup, looks great in the new build. Closing as fixed.
