Changelogs for new stable updates #16363
Comments
On Desktop if you click on the Brave version in About brave it loads https://brave.com/latest which shows the current releases's notes and also lists for all platfroms |
This would be nice to have added to the Android version. I do find in many cases the latest one listed on the website for Android isn't always the one being pushed out in the Google Play Store. This webpage also only shows notes for the stable versions it would also be nice to see notes for the beta to see what is coming down the pipeline. |

None of those links are found in the official Android build of Brave.(Settings - About Brave). |
That is not at ease for most users @srirambv |
If I'm right then the only way to actually check changelog for stable updates is to get here (GitHub) and then in releases tab. That, most people don't care and don't know about.
To be honest the only thing I hate in Brave is that all we get in changelog in the store: chromium updated and fixes , which is the most common changelog for almost all apps.
Just for stable updates atleast:
On Android: in store under what's new, add the actual 'New Things' so that we can know there is something except just fixes and chromium upgrade. Users miss out on new features if they don't know that they even exist. Not eveyone knows that they are in GitHub->Releases. So adding atleast What's actually New in there would be life saver.
On Desktop: after user updates (stable) atleast you can redirect them to the release page for that update, so that they can read what's new in their Desktop. Atleast the new things, users should know.
