Description

What I'm talking about is basic UI scaling for the desktop browser, for example in percentages.

I'm not aiming at advanced browser customization, which is another kind of feature.

The UI feels clumped for a lot people, and that includes myself.

If you take accessibility into account, this should be a "must have" to say the least.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Go to settings
  2. Appearence
  3. UI Scaling is not an option

Actual result:

Nothing changes.

Expected result:

I can scale my UI.

Reproduces how often:

Always.

+1

on the macbook 16" the UI fonts are very small and there no way to fix it easily.

The main reason that keeps me using Firefox.

Been on Brave for years, then went to Edge for AI integration but have now come back to Brave.

Literally the only downside for me is how cramped the tabs and general top area feels compared to other browsers. So would love to have some control over this.

Would also appreciate having the ability to scale the UI.
Was using a 1080p monitor for years, just switched to 1440p today. The entire top section of the browser needs to be scale-able. It's way too cramped as-is. I genuinely can't imagine trying to use this browser on a 4k display.

I'm using it on a 4k monitor and I have normally good eyes but I find the ui small. Any form of scaling would be nice to have.

Just bought a 4K monitor and brave is practically unusable. Please prioritize this issue.

Trying to find an example of this - all the browsers I tried seem to have this problem too.

Is there a program that does this well? I'm guessing even just scaling up the icons and font size would go a long way

On Firefox, the font size looks like its ~2pt larger. Not great but a little better. It would be nice to make the font size configurable...and/or matching the base text size. Brave's text color contrasts better than Firefox though...at least with a dark theme.

The letter spacing in Firefox helps to make it more readable on a high resolution.

Of course these images render bigger than what is actually in the location bar.

FWIW, I also think the protocol (https://) helps make it more readable. Curious what other people think.

Brave has as much respect for the scaling settings of the OS as it does for its users.

Zero.
