Popup/popunder tabs still occur on ThePirateBay. The issue is documented in issue 13730 (link below). Can 13730 be reopened? The description, steps to reproduce, etc are well documented there so I didn't copy them here.

We're testing (and rolling out soon) ubo and cosmetic fixes. This should eliminate most if not all popups from this site. No eta just yet, but its coming soon.

Thanks @ryanbr. Shouldn't 13730 be reopened then - so that it can be tested when the new release come out? If it's not reopened, the issue might be forgotten. The issue described in 13730 occurs on ThePirateBay in the latest Brave release (v1.0.1).
