This is somewhat more imminently important. This weekend ansible.galaxy.com will switch to galaxy_ng, which now supports only v1 (for roles) and v3, and not v2 at all :(

If you're using proxying to upstream galaxy, you can switch your upstream to old-galaxy.ansible.com instead which will be a read-only version of the old v2 galaxy, but it will be a sort of snapshot at the time of cutover, so it will not contain new content published to the new galaxy.
