When using 'on' key it's just blank page and i can't use any other hotkeys to go to the search bar.

That's the restriction from Chrome itself, please see Whitelist Surfingkeys on some pages where Chrome extensions are forbidden on https://brookhong.github.io/2021/04/18/brook-build-of-chromium.html
