REQUEST: Send General Notice to Plex Friends

In addition to sending a weekly report on the new releases for the week, it would be awesome if the script included an option to send out a general notice in a nicely formatted HTML email to users. It would come in handy to notify of downtime, etc. In addition, perhaps another option to add a notice in the header or footer of the weekly new releases email would be nice too!

1. What would be in the header and/or footer of the email? I am a bit confused by that request.
2. The script was intended on being a summary of what was added. Outside of reporting downtime, I don't know what else to notify. As for downtime, I assume you mean planned downtime, right?

Basically I am looking for more details of your desired features here :)

You have a point regarding the scripts intention. What I wanted to accomplish could be done via a simple email distribution list containing my plex users. I was just thinking it might be nice to have an option to use the plexReport script to send out notices/messages without sending the list of new weekly releases. Perhaps a switch to just send a message rather than the list of new releases could be an option? Thanks!
