We should update/fix connect SDK. As current implementation is no longer supported we could use some forks/alternatives like https://github.com/Pluto-tv/Connect-SDK-Android or https://github.com/munix/Multi-Display-Cast. Or we could rewrite current implementation with limited functionality.

For me if MultiDisplayCast is using http-legacy client, we should try to avoid it.

I would opt more for Pluto-TV fork or as @blazsolar said, roll our own version (supporting Chromecast and AirPlay for example).

Currently, with the current version of the connectSDK I have intermittent functionality that sometimes works and sometimes not.

I researched Pluto-TV fork and the only related changes were modifications related to their own branding. Nothing related to updating Chromecast core or so...

So we should probably go with out own implementation.
