caddy (v2-rc2 github amd64 binary), run as caddy file-server -listen :10140, reliably panics as soon as I try to open the given port within a browser.

Thanks for the report; fixed in 999ab22. Please try it from that commit to confirm! Build artifacts will be available shortly.
