Hi, it would be great to know the maintenance status of this application.
Was it abandoned? Are contributions still welcome? A short status sentence on the README or in the GitHub description would be awesome.

Hi @claudep,

The project had been abandoned for a while, but I was recently made a maintainer and have been working on getting the package up to date for modern versions of both Python and Django. There is a branch that I'm hoping to deploy within the next couple weeks to PyPI that will, unfortunately, change the installation package name.

Once that is pushed out, I will absolutely welcome contributions again.
