Issue Summary

Using Zoom as meeting tool is failing with notification

subject: "[Action Required] Confirmed: ...."
body:
We could not add the Zoom meeting link to your scheduled event. Contact your invitees or update your calendar event to add the details. You can either change your location on the event type or try removing and adding the app again.

the zoom room via Zoom API is added, but the zoom link in the google calendar is missing

so looks like a bug on the phase:

  • reading zoom link
  • adding to google cal

Steps to Reproduce

  1. book meeting with zoom link
  2. wait for about 2-3 mins
  3. getting the above named mail

Technical details

  • Browser independent
  • Version v.1.8.0-h-PRO and prior version too

thank you for reporting, i believe you've done the steps? Let us investigate and get back to you. In the meantime:

  • either use Google Meet or Cal Video
  • or copy your permanent Zoom link and add a "Link Location" and paste your link there

sorry for running into troubles with zoom

@PeerRich
for me it is not clear what the issue is
because zoom room is getting created with right topic and right time
but the zoom link is missing in the cal entry.
so looks for me that the bugfix shall be a low hanging fruit?

also do not understand the point with "add link location". Can you elaborate this approach?

potentially low hanging fruit tho zoom has been acting up a lot recently

here is how you add a video link:

@dpalic We just recently uploaded a fix for this on 1.8, would you mind sharing your calcom username with me so I can properly look what your problem is?
Just recently tested this on production and it's working good for me.

@alannnc I am in touch with Milos and shared him my calcom username, would not like to share it here.
As written issue still persists on named version on production. Even tried to remove and readded Zoom App again. Without any improvement

feel free to share me a cal.com link to arrange a meeting, if this will help you to track down the issue
