This is an amazing little program and has been working great for the past six months. But today it just stopped working. I'm looking for any helpful suggestions.

I tried restarting both computers (the ProPresenter computer and the OBS computer), I double checked the IP address, the network name, and the port number. Not that it would have changed, once set up, I haven't touched any of that stuff. I created a new browser source in OBS. And I made sure I had the correct local file path.

I don't know what else to try. Any suggestions?

Can you try to take OBS out of the picture, to narrow down where the problem lies? Don't have OBS up but bring up ProPresenter and then, after ProPresenter is up, open up a web browser and navigate to this index.html on your local filesystem, in the ProPresenter-OBS directory (this is the same path that you provided OBS under Browser Source / Local File). If the link between this javascript and ProPresenter is working properly, you should see your lyrics appearing in your web browser. If not, assuming your web browser is chrome, right click in that web browser window and do Inspect and then click the Console tab. You should see some messages like "ProPresenter connection opened" or "ProPresenter socket has error". Hopefully this can narrow down where the problem is occurring.

If the lyrics ARE displaying in the web browser then it would seem like OBS is not reading the web page properly and we can try to think of why.

Thanks for the very helpful response! I was getting a "ProPresenter socket has error" message.

I fixed it! After closely inspecting the config file, I noticed that the IP of the ProPresenter computer had an unnecessary digit. I corrected the IP and it starting working again. How the wrong IP got in there is a mystery to because it has been working for months and no one has touched the files.

But either way, it's working now and I am really grateful for your help. I probably would not have solved it without your input!
