I noticed something on the country details page. When one of the border country is clicked and it navigates to that page, the previous country's border country still exists then the latter country's border countries are appended to it on the page.

If you mean that it's not assigned right away, it is meant to be like this. They apply with delay on purpose.

I think what @CosMo578 means is that when from any country page you navigate to the any of its border countries you will visualize on the border country page also the border countries of the previous country. This behavior keeps repeating every time you navigate to any border country. I have also encountered it. After the delay, previous border countries are not deleted.
This produces an odd behavior and incorrect listing of border countries (sometimes also duplicated) as shown below:
