Adapter firmware update to 2.8.0 stopped the plug in from working #340
Comments
Same as this issue: home-assistant/core#99251 They're making progress over there. |
@TamboMan unfortunately Daikin is removing the local API from the controllers with recent firmware updates. |
@cbrandlehner local API still here but changed. You can see at |
Oh, I see. I do not have a device with that firmware so I have no hands-on experience. |
Dear guys, I found that this author has dissected most of the syntax used in the new API and shared it in the articles they wrote. Next, I will attempt to incorporate the information provided by them into the program. |
https://github.com/tasict/homebridge-daikin-local-platform works with firmware 2.8.0 if anyone else upgraded the firmware without fully understanding the consequences you can use that the plugin written by @tasict As an unintended benefit, the newer Daikin firmware has an ability to disable SSID broadcast configured from the Official Daikin App. Not sure if it works for all models (but it does for my units), that used to be a major annoyance for me, but now I can hide the SSIDs, and with @tasict plugin still get it working with Homekit. |
Sorry if I do this incorrectly, not super technical.
This morning I noticed that the Daikin app had some updates for my two Daikin units. It was a firmware update to 2.8.0.
I ran the update and can no longer control the units using this firmware. I have restarted the plugin and the units but still does not work.
Here is the error in Homebridge.
