ORCID IDs are increasingly used for tracking peoples' publication activities, to the extent that many systems use them to automatically build publication profiles for citations etc (e.g. DataCite). It would be good to include these in the CF Conventions somehow so that as new versions are published the ORCID IDs are automatically embedded.
I don't know the technicalities of how CF is published and how the IDs will need to be exposed so they are discoverable.
