Most simple proxy example not working...

We are trying to get most simple example to work and it doesn't work, even though pathPrepend = true by default it is not prepending path...

    '/api',
    createProxyMiddleware({
      target: 'http://localhost:8080',
      changeOrigin: true,

Compiled successfully!

You can now view evotingapp in the browser.

  Local:            http://localhost:3000
  On Your Network:  http://192.168.1.183:3000

Note that the development build is not optimized.
To create a production build, use npm run build.

no matter what we do, path is never appended to target url, we tried everything for over 2 hours...

This was the solution but it was very far from obvious for us because start request logger is broken and does not show path..
