with vim plug, unstaged changes for doc/tags are highlighted. possibly add doc/tags to .gitignore if not needed to track.

Sure. Will try to modify the vimscript too while I am at it. Take what you like.

added various things. keep which you like including if only just gitignore.

Hi @yash-fn, looks like the PR in question is doing a bunch more than updating the doc/tags gitignore. Mind scoping to just that?
