Yes it is true. I just tested it. I had seen this issue before I installed it and so I intentionally installed it, tested if emmet works (it did not) and then uninstalled it and reloadesd - emmet works again (after removing the plugin).

If you wish to use Emmet and this extension together, one possible workaround is to type your abbreviation, then space and backspace... and the Emmet snippet will appear as expected. Kind of annoying, however.

I hope this gets resolved at some point soon, as this is the only livewire plugin for VSCode and while it works amazingly well, losing Emmet is hindering my ability to fully move away from PHPStorm to VSCode. Im using the backspace trick that @mushmelty also found, but it is indeed annoying!
