This is a question for someone on the Clear Linux team who is more versed in kernel-related things.
CGROUPS V1 and systemd hybrid mode are still being used in Clear Linux. Why? Many bleeding edge distributions have switched to full CGROUPS V2 usage now that many applications are compatible with it.
