  • Had a quick look around and this appear to be written quite a while ago and there is multiple uuid implementation that is overlooking this project. But I quite like how simple it's written and that it's supporting the new UUIDv7 standard which provides a more sortable UUID. This might be nicer for logging events where we want a unique ID for the log, but also keep it sortable. It does need a bit of cleanup to be more suitable for embedded systems, but looks practically ready to share aside from maybe adding a bit more testing. Plus maybe we want such a lib to cover UUIDv4 as well if we don't have any other similar libs.

Feel free to add your own suggestion as well. It might be nice to be able to have a c library 'secondary standard' eventually of very common tools that IDEs can bake in as an addition to the standard c library.

This is about forking over to the clib organization or adding the clib.json so it can be used by clib?

More about adding clib.json specifically. But before doing so might be worth improving it a bit to get up to modern standard and documentation etc...
