ls return vertical list instead of horizontal?

ls used to return a horizontal list on my machine - and I quite liked that. But now it lists only pure vertical. I'm not sure what caused the change - possible updated cmder? Is there a way to configure this?

Never mind. Turns out I was in a folder with some longer filenames that I didn't see, and the default console size was just too small to display columns.

The moment I switched to another folder, or make the console larger it was all fine.

User-error - nothing to see here.
