Each chart should have

A narrative hed (Headline)
A descriptive dek (Subheadline)
Axis Labels (what units the axes are in)
A legend (if there are multiple data series displayed)
A link citing the original data source
A link citing the sample D3 code you pulled from
Footnotes if needed

  • Made a temporal chart with drop-downs to select States/Industry. (Jan 10)
  • Made a data for the porportion of dollar value (initially it was a count, but not value (changed in Jan 12)) (Jan 11)
  • Consulting with @samyamishra , showing the proportion seemed important, so i fixed the scale with a maximum of 100(%) (Jan 11)
  • I put a label showing the amount, since it was hard to see very small-proportioned States (e.g, AL) and Industry (Jan 11)
  • Added 504 data. (Jan 13)
