working installation of cogent3 (in another issue)
ability to run jupyter notebooks, either via browser or VS Code
terminal access (for Ensembl Cli)
basic experience with scripting, Python advantageous

A machine with a docker host (requires elevated permission to install) and VS code installed. The time required to go from that to a working installation of cogent3 should theoretically be under 5 minutes.
