Just wondering if there's been any thought around how easyform could work in a Volto world?

I think it makes a lot of sense to upgrade easyform since it contains a lot of functionality and has many plugins that could still work in a volto world. form-block is still very basic in comparison.

  • unlike form-block you would still have a content type for a form but that doesn't mean you can't have a embed-easyform-block that allows you to put multiple forms onto other pages
  • you should be able to make all fields blocks so you can have much more flexible form layouts.
    • on save you write out a XML schema based on the block json?
  • it might be a lot of work to make all teh validations client side but you don't have to do in a first version. You could just do a quicker fix where validations are done dynamically but via api calls so the logic is still serverside
  • all the actions go into form settings?

We maybe yet still tackle this with upcoming upgrades but interested if anyone else is considering this?
