There is no way to participate in the discussions!

I saw https://pol.is and I thought: "Great! A new way to procrastinate! I can participate in the conversations and have my voice heard! And better, because it is done in carefully designed way that meaningful opinions are selected, and not designed for clicks and controversy like most of social media!"

Well, at least that was what I thought when I read this paragraph:

More specifically, Polis is a platform for a conversation, in which participants submit short text statements, or comments, (<140 characters) which are then sent out semi-randomly to other participants to vote on by clicking agree, disagree or pass. Polis allows conversation owners to create conversations which can seamlessly engage (currently) up to hundreds of thousands or (conceivably) millions of participants.

Unfortunately, after creating my account and logging in, it is nothing like this. I can't see the existing conversations, I just have an interface to create my pools and spread the link myself, to my 30 twitter followers. I couldn't find an active subreddit with dedicated polis conversations.

What a shame. This was such a good idea to harness people procrastination impulses for good...

Why not just start your own and promote the links?

You could start a facebook group - promoting your discussions on various subjects etc...
