Hello, i'm having the exact same issue. I Found this reddit post of somebody having the same issue, and tried the solution in the comment (they linked to https://khronokernel.github.io/Getting-Started-With-ACPI/Desktops/desktop-ec.html, but that is the old site, new link https://dortania.github.io/Getting-Started-With-ACPI/Universal/ec-fix.html). I tried doing the manual method, but when looking for the value PNP0C09 in the decompiled DSDT, found nothing. I think this might mean my PC (and maybe yours) doesn't have a Embedded Controller. Don't quote me on that though.
Another Possibility is that the Embedded Controller has something to do with EFI, and I think My PC does not support EFI booting. That may be the same for you, and there may be a chance that Opencore just won't work because it needs EFI
Again, take my words with a grain of salt, because i'm not that knowledgeable.
I am writing here just to provide more observations.
My hack is the legacy X58 system, it was BIOS boot of course. Same here I got "PC(B)! Aborting" when creating Fake EC using SSDTTime. I have to follow Dortania's guide creating it manually. Still the fake EC isn't injected properly, there's no EC device showing with IORegistryExplorer. But somehow it still helps, my USB bluetooth dongle works with it; without it doesn't work of course.
Hi there, I get the following error when running FakeEC. #######################################################
Fake EC
#######################################################
Locating PNP0C09 devices...
--> EC
----> Valid EC Device
----> EC called EC. Renaming
Locating LPC(B)/SBRG...
Any ideas how to fix it?
Thanks
