Closing criteria:

  • have goreleaser.yml configuration (model after cometBFT/cosmos-sdk)
  • refactor release workflow action
  • remove tech debt from gaia repo regarding release proces
  • update Releasing.md

Nice to have:

  • add option to release manually (using workflow_dispatch in Github action)

Notes

The build_report that is generated will be removed in favor of using checksums.txt file that is generated with go-releaser.

Dependency on tendermintdev/rbuilder image will be removed since we have no interest in maintaining it because better tools exist.
