We have entries that change often over time with new information. For SEO reasons, we want to keep those articles and not create new ones. If there is, for instance, weekly news on a topic, we update that article weekly.
The date+time those changes are supposed to go online is often supposed to be in the future, like every Saturday, for instance.
This might especially be during weekends or nights, i.e. when people don't work.
So what we would like to have:
keep the article live (in Revision A) while
making changes (Revision B) with a post date in the future
leaving the article live in Revision A, until post date is reached
then update content to Revision B
Currently, we can create a draft on the article, update the content in the draft.
When the post date is reached, we can manually publish the draft, overwriting the article's content with the intended changes.
But this is a manual action.
There is, as far as I know, currently no way to schedule a post date in the future, leaving the current revision intact.
Is that possible?
Maybe even coming with Craft 4.0?
