I also ran into the same issue and made changes in a forked repo to fix it.

This error (and others that pop up after authentication is issue fixed) is caused by modifications on Pinterest's website and they are pretty drastic changes. Pretty much all methods have been modified. So this required quite a bit of change to the code.
