It would be great if there was an option to download subtitles only.

...and to rename them before they get into the .mkv
Because in one of the new updates there is just the language name saved as the code like "en-US" or "ar-SA"
And in previous versions there was a full name like "English (US)" or "Arabic (Saudi Arabia)"
Ig it wasnt planned to remove the saved names for the subtitles?

is there an audio only option already?

You can use the search command to get individual audio, video or subtitle files #340 (comment)

But I'm considering adding a new sub-command to download individual sub-, audio- or video-only, I think it's the most requested feature of the last months/year. Although the only advantage over search would be easier accessibility.
What are the reasons you want to download only subtitles/audio?

My reason to have only audio and subtitles is, that Iam trying to cut out some parts of the video to rematch all the audiolanguages with one video instead of having 2 videos for one episode...
(mkv is half as big if you can delete out one of the videos)
And as I mentioned somewhere else, Iam currently editing every subtitle name from (example: de-DE to German) the short code to the full language...
For me it would be way easier and a lot faster to work with one video and then put the audios and subtitles I downloaded in by myself and start searching the not matching parts and cut them out

Just the editing of one episode from TToSND, rematching the audios and renaming the subtitles took me 2 or maybe even 3 hours today...
I got 4/22 episodes ready, so theres gonna be a long way, if I dont get any help with easier access to audio and subtitle files...
Yes of course, I just need to extract the data of the mkv, but if I try to rematch them its just easier whe I also try to put in another audio file from aniworld, cause crunchyroll dont have every language licenses...
It would be a nice save of time for me,
but thats just me and I dont want you to just code that shit for one person, cause idt anyone is doing it like me just to have everything clean and tidy...

But an I right, it wasnt supposed to go from the language name to the short form again right?
(In earlier versions I could change the subtitles from German to English, and now just from de-DE to en-US)
And probably its just me, but I want the full words for the subtitles back...

I use CR subs in my remuxes as they are usually just SRT files without weird effects or fireworks which is the most compatible with Plex. I'm currently using the Crunchyroll-Downloader but it's pretty slow.
