Aren't they breaking the law by remotely upgrading the firmware? with out consent? Pid id: d70bubEu0zzlr1LH for model s126 @kueblc welcome to use the files attached, so that other users of these devices dont have to do a hardware flash like i had to with the last 4 plugs, used TASMOTIZER 1.2 good luck |

if you get a Device or resource busy error, turn off wifi, after running the command, turn it back on again, as we have more things to download
make sure to connect youre phone to vtrust-flash before pressing enter and
make sure to say yes to everything and turn off WiFi, yes I know that's sounds like a contradiction to what we want to do, but if you are using the WiFi to connect to you're router how are we going to connect to the tuya plug and sent it the firmware file, that's how I did it anyway
---- guide ends here -----
---- Here's where I ask people for help -----
i have 2x SWA9 v1.1.3 and 2x GC701Y v1.0.2 which have failed, the GC701Y connects to the tuya-convert but fails to backup, it reboots after it connects, then just sits with a blue solid light, i just get ........... tuya-convert with a link to the website explaining it can't be done unless we as a community can come up with the magic packets it needs, along with info on how to do that, i dont have a flashing tool, so i can't help, the SWA9 doesn't even connect to tuya-convert, nothing happens, it doesn't reboot, or anything.
so far i have only been able to convert 1x of my 5 plugs, the s126, when i tried to restore it back to its original firmware it didn't work, so im left with a useless backup, whats the point in backing up if you can't restore?
what would i need to convert the other 4x of plugs, isn't there a hidden upgrade page? in the slow flash option? where we can connect to there ssid "smartlife-xxxx" instead ? isn't there a tool we could use to try every ip address in the devices own network it makes? if i have to open them up, what would i need to flash the chips? i would like a tool that just clamps on, as i dont have a heat gun,
ill add, i did this on ubuntu-22.04.2-desktop-amd64.iso on a live usb, i didn't install, i had to install python manually and change the ssid name from something crazy to wlan0, if anyone else is doing this also make sure to turn wifi off in ubuntu as it trys to take over while youre in tuya-convert, you'll know its not working because youll fail to connect to the ssid, vtrust-flash, when its working, youll connect to vtrust-flash and stay connected, if youre device supports it youll be directed to a page that says youre connected,
