Sound an sticker highlight don't work together

If I turn on sticker highlight and sound, when I mouse over stickers they
do not highlight.  If I turn off sound they do.

I'm on a Linux box and so far I haven't heard any sound either.  I may have
ALSA muting whatever channel or device MC4D is trying to use though.  I
haven't troubleshot sound yet.

I'm guessing the attempt to play the sound throws an exception on Linux for some
reason. If so, I can at least trap the exception to make the highlighting work 
even
if sound does not, but I need to know what the exception is. Please run the jar 
file
from a command shell (java -jar <jar file name>), reproduce the problem, and 
then
copy and paste the text of the exception into a comment here.
