I love kitty but one thing is annoying: the fact that the configuration of each session is completely independent. Specifically, when changing a useful setting that could be applied to all the sessions (say, a new font), I need to manually set it everywhere. Same goes for, say, keys that could be common to sessions.
A solution to that would be to have a "default" setting that would always ba applied to a session, except if there is a specific setting for that session.

The same question was requested/suggested time ago. However, it's a decision of the main developer. Perhaps at some point he will rewrite the storage module to support this hierarchical configuration plus the portable mode. However, this represents a lot of work as every new release of PuTTY requires a lot of effort. So we need to have patience and continue supporting @cyd01 .
