What would you like?

I'd like to move the auto-scroll user preference out of the preferences menu back into an icon displayed in the test runner

from Cypress 12.7.0

autoscroll-menu

from Cypress 9.6.1

This makes two things clear:

  • the a hotkey disables autoscrolling from the tooltip and visual change is evident when pressed
  • whether or not auto scroll is enabled / disabled as a user preference

Why is this needed?

This makes the auto scroll preference visible and clear to user that a) it exists and b) what value is the preference set to and c) a hotkey can toggle it on/off
