This issue documents what is currently being monitored and leads a discussion in gathering other services to monitor.

Currently Monitoring:

  • Contribute/Discover API
  • orcid
  • hydroshare
  • zenodo

Need to monitor:

  • ECL
  • ECL Authentication
  • Mongo DB connection
  • Contribute UI
  • Discover UI

The api currently has a health api endpoint at https://contribute-beta.criticalzone.org/api/health that reports on the status of these services. I thought Jenkins was polling this endpoint, but I did not see a job on ci.criticalzone.org that monitors.
